Chinese Joint

An inexpensive, off-brand radio such as a Luiton or Baofeng used primarily for listening to Suffolk County fire frequencies by someone too frugal to purchase a Motorola or a proper scanner. Chinese joints should never be used for transmitting, only receiving due to their low transmit power and tendency to bleed across multiple frequencies.
