Blogurt was an indie band that was not cool before it was cool to be not cool. It was an unlikely convergence of satirical, politically bent lyrics, funkified bass, rumpus-inducing pink electric guitar, grouchily lilting garage bassoon, and corn-fed drums.
Blogurt? This rock could pull some things.

Playing it Bogart

To do something with a cool head, no stress and showing off a lot of confidence and expertise on the matter.
Referencing the acting style of Hemphrey Bogart.
"I just walked in to the party, playing it Bogart, and asked the girl out."
(slang verb) To keep something all for oneself, thus depriving anyone else of having any. A slang term derived from the last name of famous actor Humphrey Bogart because he often kept a cigarette in the corner of his mouth, seemingly never actually drawing on it or smoking it. Often used with weed or joints but can be applied to anything.
"Don't bogart that blunt man, pass that over here!"

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.
