Beakman's World

A show that aired in the 90's and was fronted by Paul Zaloom a satirist and performance artist who called himself Beakman and acted rather flamboyantly.

Many people who remember the show remember it fondly, it was almost like Pee Wee's playhouse meets Bill Nye the science guy.

It showcased a mad scientist, a rat-man-creature, numerous female assistants and penguins doing science projects and dispelling myths among other things.

Now, I'm quite sure it has a huge stoner fanbase, because the show is very, very trippy.
It was a sad day when they took Beakman's World off the air in 1997.

Random stoner - "I'm gonna go smoke a blunt and watch Beakman's World, wanna come?"

Beckman High School

A wonderful school in sunny California where you will be judged and ridiculed for everything from your clothes, to your race. Its suppose to be one of the best schools around but we can thank the Asians for that. The rich kids dominate here, so unless your white and insanely gorgeous, you don't matter...
Today we made fun of some little mexican kids and told this asian girl to make me orange chicken! Just another great day at Beckman High School.

Beatmania IIDX

(Also known as: IIDX)

A 7 keys and turntable game made by Konami, the same people who brought us Dance Dance Revolution. It is far more challenging, harder to find, and has better songs than DDR. Most of the people that I've seen play at my local arcade are pretty skilled, and aren't fat Wapanese bastards.
You don't believe me when I say IIDX's music is better? Go listen to the song "thunder," which is from that game.

beatmania

A real-time DJ simulator that requires players to press keys arranged similar to a piano and/or spin a turntable and/or pressing a pedal when instructed by falling dashes. Three versions currently exist: beatmania (having 5 keys and a record), beatmania IIDX (adding two keys, current game being produced), and beatmania III (5 keys, a record, and a pedal). People playing the game seem like they have no lives, as it takes awhile to play without looking at the controller and to spin the turntable efficiantly. There is one US release of beatmania to date and the release was not as accepted compared to Guitar Hero II, released around the same time, so the only way to get better songs is to import the games.
Rob: You wanna play beatmania?
Bob: No way, man. That game is so rediculously hard.
Rob: Ah, well, I'll be passing Mei on another if you need me.

murderhobo

In a tabletop game, a murderhobo is a player who murders NPCs indiscriminately. This is normally derogatory, referring to a player who totally ignores quests, dialog, backstory, trade, world building etc.

The term is most common with Dungeons and Dragons, but it can be applied to most RPGs where the player is allowed to kill most quest-giving NPCs and NPC traders. E.g. Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Divinity original sin.
DM: The sad little orphan girl tugs at Steve's trenchcoat to get his attention, and ask for help saving her pet dog from...
Steve: I'd like to roll a strength check against strangling the orphan.
Dave: I call dibs on the dog.
DM: You murderhobos disgust me.

In sales terms, a whale is a prospect that is significantly larger than an organization’s average customer.

Whales are large and extremely difficult to close. Due to their immense size, they are highly sought-after.

A whale is typically identified at first by a whale hunter on the sales team, but often requires cross-discipline participation in order to close; this includes assistance from operations, engineering, creative, client success, and business development teams.
"Shit...the sales director chewed me out on the sales call this morning. He's totally pissed that I have nothing in my pipeline. I've been focused on this one whale for so long that I haven't had time to prospect for normal-sized deals."

God Shot

A chance happening with profound meaning, an unexpected blessing, a "sign".
Dr. Drew on Celebrity Rehab said "All of a sudden what had been just another Hollywood proposal became for him an unexpected blessing, an opportunity for growth. In drug recovery language, that's called a "God shot."

city chicken

A food native to Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania in which cubes of pork and/or veal are put on a short, wooden skewer, breaded, then baked and/or fried.

I've heard that city chicken originated during the Great Depression, when folks didn't have enough money to buy full cuts of meat, so they assembled meat scraps on a wooden skewer, creating a make-shift drumstick. Hence the name.
