baagee

A term for "traitor" lifted from the Maldivian Dhivehi language.

Since the February 2011 coup that removed democratically elected president Mohamed Nasheed from office, the opposition frequently refers to the dictatorship and supporters as "baagee."

The term is coming into broader use thanks to social media.

"No Matter how long these baagee Survives. They will face Justice - Sooner or Later."

"You're as bad as Sabu, the baagee!"

"Only a baagee would vote yes for #NDAA's indefinite detention of US Citizens."

Baage.

Somebody who thinks that they're a 'mad feen', 'daycent' or unreal. Used in certain areas of cork city and describes someone who only THINKS they are all of the above, but everybody knows they're in fact not. You use 'baaaaaaaaaaaaaage' if the thing somebody does is extremely bage.

Kidney is some baage.

Baaaaaaaaaage!
