approxinym

A word formed from the initial letters of the words in a series (as with an acronym), but with a slight deviation in the order or inclusion to form a more desirable word. The result is a word that approximately matches the series from which it was derived.
The Assistant Project Manager position was referred to with the approxinym AMP because Ben thought it sounded a lot cooler than however you would try to pronounce APM.
