Vaeritas

Vaeritas was a renowned warrior, whose battle tactics consisted of getting as drunk as mortally possible, then drink twice as much more and charge at the enemy wielding a hammer in one hand and a sickle in the other.

Even in these early times Vaeritas was called the Forum Troll for his renowned "PvP going on in here?" comments. Vaeritas was terrible to behold in battle, bashing, slicing, and breathing alcoholic fumes at his enemies.

Mortally wounded, he would merely fall asleep at the field of battle, only to wake up the next morning with regenerated limbs, healed wounds and a severe headache.

In vino veritas

In vino veritas is a Latin phrase that means "in wine there is truth."

The expression, together with its counterpart in Greek, "Ἐν οἴνῳ ἀλήθεια" (En oinōi alētheia), is found in Erasmus' Adagia, I.vii.17. Pliny the Elder's Naturalis historia contains an early allusion to the phrase. The Greek expression is traced back to a poem by Alcaeus.
Herodotus asserts, and it is likely enough, that if the Persians decided something while drunk, they made a rule to reconsider it when sober. Authors from Herodotus onwards, however, have dared to add that if the Persians made a decision while sober, they made a rule to reconsider it when they were drunk (Histories, book 1, section 133).
The Roman historian Tacitus described how the Germanic peoples always drank while holding councils, as they believed nobody could lie effectively when drunk.
The phrase is often continued as, "In vino veritas, in aqua sanitas", i.e., "In wine there is truth, in water there is health."

Veritas Society

A concentrated collection of sexually puzzled thrift store sports coats who have all withheld desires for each other at one point or another. Within this wardrobe lies the incessant need to appear intellectually superior to the average college student (themselves). To be initiated in this college club includes a $10 fee and the desire to homestead. The women want to have a multitude of kids but also money, so they seek this out by going after men with philosophy degrees.
Man 1: "Hey, have you ever read Nicomachean Ethics?"
Man 2: "Of course I have, I am in the Veritas Society after all."
