A term used by teachers and parents outside the United States to refer to a math curriculum that is a mile wide and an inch deep—which covers lots of advanced topics at a superficial level.
Compared to thin, affordable Singapore math textbooks, US math textbooks look more like dictionaries and are wallet-unfriendly.
