The act of a tv show suddenly becoming really bad, with unbelievable excuses for good television, ending in terrible backfires. Such as SpongeBob entering its 6th season.

Jack: Can you believe the quality of Family Guy now? If you don't think it's unrealistically bad you haven't been paying attention.
Jill: I've never seen Spongebola this severe. It makes Atlantis Squarepantis look like Finding Nemo.
