Snowsteria

When snow starts falling in Upstate South Carolina, grocery stores get ransacked, schools close & businesses shut down at a slight dusting of the ground with ZERO accumulation on the roads. This is referred to as snowsteria, a close cousin to hysteria.

I've been out shopping for milk & bread since the snowsteria was issued for tomorrow night. I bought twelve loaves of bread, but I could only round up seven gallons of milk... you can't ever be too careful.

Why are the schools opening today? They know the weatherman is calling for a snowsteria this afternoon.

With any luck I won't have to show up for work/school tomorrow since theirs a 20% chance of a snowsteria.

This is the combined act of snoring and masturbating. The type of person who continually talks about the amount of snow your area is expected to get, often complaining or acting fearful several days before it will happen. Will refer to anything more than 2 inches as a "Snowpocalyspe" or "Snowmaggedon".
