Slangify

Verb: To Slangify.

If you slangify something, you turn it from a full word into its slang form or into a localised version.

This word came from a need to exress the fact that someone has turned a normal word into slang. It is a problem that arose in an A level English Language Class in York.
- To slangify "Yes" into "Aye" in Newcastle.
- Changing "Cool" to "Sick" is slangifying it.
