Someone acting with "Sechel" means they have street smarts, can sum up calculated risks, and anticipated consequences, while also being thoughtful and caring. So it's the whole enchilada in the decision-making process. The term comes from Yiddish and originates in the Bible (1 Samuel 25:3 describes a woman with good judgement).
