Romend (noun): Meaning adult romantic friend. The term describes an unmarried male or female partner in a loving, committed relationship and replaces the labels boyfriend and girlfriend which are used to refer to a more youthful, adolescent relationship. A romend is also used in place of significant other or partner and applies to both straight and same-sex companions.
