Puddlemelt 

Most people have noticed that individuals of the "Millennial Generation" when confronted directly on an issue instead of addressing the problem head-on they quickly withdraw, curl up and melt into a puddle, hence puddlemelt.

Yuri was really slacking off on the job and we were really wondering what he was doing all day, we planned very carefully as to avoid a puddlemelt incident but even after sprinkles of praise and adoration at the front end of our discussion Yuri ended up puddlemelting into his chair.

piddlement

An unfinished project, task, hobby, or endeavor that someone once piddled around with but eventually abandoned—not because it was difficult, but because it simply stopped being interesting.

A piddlement is neither a work in progress nor a failure. It is the physical or digital remains of enthusiasm that has quietly expired. It's what happens when curiosity meets spare time, accomplishes approximately 37% of something, and wanders off.

Unlike procrastination, a piddlement carries no obligation to resume. Unlike failure, it carries no particular regret. Unlike a hobby, it no longer provides enjoyment.

"What's that half-built birdhouse doing in the garage?"

"Oh, that's just an old piddlement. I lost interest sometime around the second wall."

"I've got about seventeen piddlements in my workshop, and I fully intend to ignore every one of them."

"Not everything unfinished is unfinished business. Some things are just piddlements."
