Nephetaari is an acronym which stands for Nubian Eccentric Princess harboring exquisite thoughts amid a riveting imagination. Circa 2005-2009, I was a pro-se writer under the pen-name Princess Lady Jay. Coincidentally, I began investigating my family's heritage and discovered my paternal connection to Nubia in West Africa. My mother's lineage is still missing information. As an artist to represent growth and change and to symbolize where I stood at that time, I found the name befitting as it was partially derived from Queen Nefetari whose maternal lineage was a myster as well.
