A NASCAR Driver IS AN ATHLETE who competes in a 3500 lb race car, driving 500 miles in as little as 3 hours at speeds up to 190 mph, driving closer to other cars at those speeds than you park next to in the parking lot, and not to mention in cars that interior reaches 140 degrees, while fully clothed in more than one layer of firesuit, and loses about 5-10 lbs per race is sweat, and not to mention having a heart rate equal to that of a marathon runner finishing the 26th mile. and people say they are not athletes.
