A semi-fictional place where almost anything can happen and usually does. Derives from the titles of the novel, Welcome to the Monkey House, by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. and the feature film Mad Max, Beyond Thunderdome. Word coined by Mike Watson c. April, 2009
