A unique name given to children all across India. It is the root of the popular term Mana describing one's spiritual energy. As an aside, the name is also given to those who may be suspected reincarnations of God himself. That's right, Mannan is the man upstairs... that's him, and he's the best, though pretty bad at the whole "God" thing.

Type of evil creatures in the same league as the Aswang that is said to exist in the Philippines. Legend says the Manananggal is a pretty woman by day that transforms into a vicious, half-bodied, viscera-eating monster by nightfall.

I thought I met this hot Filipina but later that night she turned into a Manananggal. Creepy dude.
