LAERP

Abbreviation for Live Action Erotic Role Play. LAERP is sexual role-play performed in real life featuring characters with backgrounds and/or on-going plots. Partners engage in sexual role-playing, but characters have more depth and history than simple generic scenarios. Much like LARP, character actions are acted out in person and may even involve write up of character traits or character sheets.

After months of leveling together, we decided to LAERP our WoW characters.

We decided to take our fanfic one step further, LAERPing my OC with his character.

Larping

When someone is pretending to be something they’re not. Can involve lying on social media/internet or lying in real life. Often used in a derogatory sense.

Derived from the original meaning of LARP, Live Action Role Play. When you say that someone is larping and you’re not talking about the literal game, you are saying that they are role-playing in their actual real life. Pretending to be rich, pretending to know about a topic, pretending to have a certain lifestyle, etc.

Amanda: Wow did you see Josh’s new lamborghini on IG?
Max: That’s not actually his, he took a photo of a random lambo at the dealership. He’s just larping like he has one.

Lerper

A person high on crystal meth who will steal something from you and then help you look for it.

Someone scoping out the premises looking for things to cluck (steal)

AKA - Theif
Bottom of the barrel sucker fish

"Dont leave that lerper alone with anything of value"

"That guy was lerping around the neighborhood"

Lerping

(v.) Walking unnaturally, with the right arm swinging forward simultaneously as the right leg bears weight, repeating with the left arm and leg and so on. This normally occurs during stressful moments when someone is nervous and asked to walk in front of an audience of their peers. The individual will overthink the task and lerp.

John was asked to briskly walk across the stage to the rhythm of the music when he started lerping. That’s when everyone began to laugh.

LARPing

Traditionally, LARPing is when a bunch of nerds get together in a field or pasture and beat each other up with foam core swords. In the internet sense, it refers to people who put on a façade and lie about having lives that are far more interesting than they really are.
