Katrinacation 

1. Sleeping with a voracious vixen while on a "business trip".

2. The 2005 evacuation from New Orleans, which turned into an extended summer vacation of sorts. Of course, losing a house is a bitch, but the month or two out of school and work made things a tad better.

3. Any long vacation taken due to evacuation from a Hurricane labeled as Category 3...no, 4...no, 5...no, 4...no, 5...A hurricane that could potentially destroy your property.

1. Katrinacation will be great...as long as my wife never finds out.

2. Holy crap on a cracker! Kids, the Weather Channel demands that we pack our bags. It's time to go on a Katrinacation!

Katrinatreatment 

Katrinatreatment: when your local government during a crisis does nothing for your neighborhood because it is not a rich area of the city...example during the record snow storm blizzard no plowing of streets in your neighborhood, no shelters set-up nearby when power is out for days, all city officials who live in city have power and streets plowed in their neighborhoods. Mayor does not care, and city emergency hotline tells u when u call about no plow, and no way to leave, and u have no power or heat, they tell you "u are on your own" and hang up...that is called getting a "Katrinatreatment."

When I called the City Emergency Hotline to report no power no heat no plow in my neighborhood they said "u are on your own." That is called getting a "Katrinatreatment."

katrinalization 

The harsh realization that occurs when I am reminded of the huge damage Katrina caused on New Orleans. Although much work has been done, there is still a humongous amount of work left to be done.

While driving through New Orleans yesterday, I saw abandoned grocery stores with the waterline still visible and the windows all boarded up with plywood. The katrinalization that ensued caused a painful pang in my midsection.
