When something is completely and utterly defeated, subjugated, and overpowered, it has been "Japan'd." Note that the Japanee is not destroyed or annihilated by the Japaner, merely reduced to a position of absolute humility and obeisance. The term dates back to the mid to late 2000s- some say that it retroactively refers to the military Japanning of the nation of Japan in World War II, where the United States (so it is claimed) Japan'd Japan by dropping atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Most, however, hold that this is a folk etymology, and that the word was coined after the Japanning of the Japanese Smash 64 community by Isai in 2006.
