It's like an intervention, only instead of confronting someone about their problem with drugs or alcohol, you confront them with their problem of being shitty at giving gifts.

Person 1: Aunt Carol gave me socks for Christmas AGAIN this year!

Person 2: Are you serious!? She really needs a giftervention.

Giftervention

An Art intervention that involves Gifting an anonymous stranger with a piece of art.

The action of gifterventing has been performed over many years, but it really only came into its own when the Art Event Papergirl Berlin started random gifterventions, taking art out of the galleries and into the streets.

I can't wait till tomorrow, the giftervention at the park is going to be amazing!

Gymtervention

Its an intervention, but instead of being for drugs, or drinking, or beating your kids... its for people who are addicted to going to the gym.

Person 1: "great lunch guys, see you at the movie in an hour?"
Person 2: "yeah, just gonna hit the gym quick and then i'll be there man" (leaves)
Person 3: "god that guy needs a gymtervention"

A necessary intervention performed by friends or family, to rescue someone who has found themselves "partnered up" with a person of the red-headed persuasion, a.k.a. "a ginger."

Sally: "Did you see the soulless Fanta-pants Joy brought to dinner last night?"

Joe: "I sure did - time for a Gingervention, methinks."
