Franchiseville

An area of a city that is where all or the majority of the big box stores and chain restaurants are located. Seeing a large Franchisville means that downtown businesses from a wide radius were killed off. These can even kill malls in older parts of town.

Also called generica.

Even the major mall in town did not survive when Franchiseville moved in three miles away.
