Any one of a number of indy bands who, to compensate for the fact that they have no musical skill, ability, or talent, add the suffix "core" to the end of a random word to create a "new genre" that justifies their suckage. They can be found playing 20-band-shows for the other bands and their girlfriends and talking about how their "genre" is "misunderstood"

Antonym: Actual-core. See "Psyopus".

Vocoder-esque effect on vocals you get when using Autotune with a fast response. Works better if the singer has almost perfect pitch as having bumpy pitch can make it modulate weirdly and just give the obvious message of "YOU CAN'T SING".
Kayne West is the notorious Daft Punk-esque fauxcoder expert.
Person 1: I got this awesome vocoder effect when I used pitch correction on my vocals.

Person 2: Can't you have just used a vocoder instead?

Person 1: Well, it's a fauxcoder then!

More from Urban Dictionary
West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
