Crank Mite 

The imaginary bugs the drug attics find themselves being attacked by relentlessly. These so called Crank Mites are commonly associated with crystal methamphetamine users. Due to this commonality some refer to these Crank Mites as Meth Bugs.
As a result of having crank mites is obvious to the general public. They show up as sores on the victim’s body, namely the face and forearms. These sores are caused by the nonstop picking and scratching the user engages in trying to rid themselves of these mites.

Toddy just banged a teener of crystal and is tearing himself up from those crank mites.

Crack-mite 

A person who’s daily objective and lifelong passion is to consistently aggravate friends and co-workers without provocation or relief, to aggrandize the insignificant, to project the appearance of superior knowledge from hear say and restate as fact.

Crack-mites are relentlessly annoying and incapable of voluntary silence.

Crack-mites multiply at an alarming rate by attaching themselves to rumor, gossip and untruths.

Lots of the folks who tune in to daily radio/TV news-broadcasts do so largely because they enjoy the pleasant/efficient manner of the announcer (think Lowell Thomas and Dallas Townsend), so I would wonder if Walter Crankyite would really get all that many people who would wanna listen to HIM read the latest headlines.
