The name of a star (also called Alcor), which was named after a type of climbing plant, possibly meaning "not restrained" in Sanskrit. In Hindu belief it is the name of the sage Vasishtha's wife, who is identified with the star.

Arundhati 

In Bengali legend, Arundhati is the name of an ancient Indian Princess of a small state in about the 15th century. In current times she is said to be the Indian Cleopatra of her time, so the most beautiful woman in the world and also a ruler. It is said (just like Cleopatra) that she could woo any guy she wanted. In addition, she was a very smart ruler as she helped make her city prosper from rambles.

Arunthathi 

She's an ambivert who gets along with the right people. She's a girl who loves her freedom and privacy and wants to explore the depths of the world. However, she often lives in Dreamland and fails put her plans into actions. She's smart but not hardworking. But she's the person everyone will go to when they're sad and need someone to cheer them up. She's like this stubborn sunshine. When she loves, she loves to much at times. Arundhati is a really nice and selfless person.She's very shy and quiet.She usually hides her sad feelings in front of people to make them happy.Shr often stays up all night to hangout with her friends. Not to mention that she's literally the CUTEST and MOST ADORABLE person ever even though she likes to deny it .She loves hugs and cuddles but warning: she never lets go!

She is identified with the morning star and also with the star Alcor which forms a double star with Mizar. In the Vedic and Puranic literature, she is regarded as the epitome of chastity and conjugal bliss.

The name Arundhatī in Sanskrit literally means 'washed from the rays of sun', from arun 'Sun rays' and dhatī 'washed'.

Arundhati is my inspiration for devotion.
