Airbus A320

The A320 is a narrow-body airliner developed by Airbus in the 1980s. It was designed to compete with the Boeing 737 Classic and the McDonnell Douglas MD-90 and it was the first commercial airliner to make use of digital fly-by-wire control. The aircraft is powered by either CFM-56 or IAE V2500 engines producing approximately 120kN/27,000lbf of thrust each. In 2010, Airbus launched an updated version of the A320 called the A320neo, where "neo" stands for "New Engine Option".
