Trust their actions,
not their words.
If a person says they'll do something
& their actions do not match what they say,
That is a lie.
If they do that, over & over again
& they actively work against what they said:
That is a pattern of lies,or: Manipulation.
Furthermore:
If that person is confronted about a lie,
& say anything along the lines of:
"I never said that",
that is Gaslighting.
Trust their actions,
not their words.
This rule works for all people in power:
Politicians,businessmen,salesmen,conmen
& pathological liars of any kind

Instead, pay close attention to what they do,

Blexas
Texas is categorized as a swing state in presidential elections, but has voted for Republicans more times than for Democrats in recent history. As such, as demographics change political alignments, some Democrats believe that Texas will vote blue, or Democratic, due to their Hispanic and African American voters, who often align themselves with the Democratic Party's liberal wing.
Blexas has been cited as possible in the upcoming decades, but only if Democrats continue to win the Hispanic vote in bigger margins.
