system of a down

A band whose musical influence hail from Armenia. Their lyrics are open to interpretation and speak of politics, religion and experiences. System of a Down's lyrics are subject to debate because they rely heavily on interpretation *1. As is their music, although the basic chords and repetitive nature contributes well towards emphasis and overall catchiness of the song *2. Their music cannot be easily categorised with "fellow" bands Slipknot and Korn. Despite popular belief, their music fluctuates from song to song, depending on the theme ("Mind" to "Roulette". They are atheists and on the whole against the way that the world is governed. Such popular songs include "Chop Suey" and "Toxicity." Their name derives from a poem called "Victims of a Down"

Let down

When a girl you love decides to leave you dangling on a string over a tank of acid. She promises to love you, then suspends you forever, leaving you to question your sanity while she runs off with someone else. She could help you up, but she would rather keep plucking the string and watch you writhe as you scream in misery.

Why people do this? Because they are all sadists, and they only love to see you suffer, and by the way, your dream doesnt exist. You feel forever empty. You will be Two-face forever.

She was are real Let down. I loved her truly, but she prefered the company of a trailer-trash moron with missing teeth. I write this in tribute to every man who spent years building confidence, only to have it shattered by infectious human waste. You are not forgotten.

Usage: either as two words (throw down) or one (throwdown).

1. noun - Uncommon passion when having sex, making out, or some other form of sexual contact. Usually involves groping or aggression, sometimes growling, and varying degrees of being on the edge of losing self-control.

2. verb - to make something happen in a big way. to perform well, brilliantly, with virtuosity.

3. verb - to drink. a lot.

4. verb - to fight and win. Losing a fight should not be referred to as "throwing down."
