An extremely derogatory term used during WWII to describe the Italian forces. The Italians were said to be extremely cowardly during the war, and allied forces would insult them by saying that all they were good for was making good food. The word was made by combining "Good" and "eats".

A word used to ask someone if they had consumed food recently. It comes from shortening the phrase "Did you eat?", typically used in the midwest, mainly Iowa.
