An anime that aired in in Japan on July 7, 2012, and got its dubbed counterpart in July 27, 2013.
The anime consist of a main character named Kirito (that's what he's called usually) and the "side characters" of Asuna, Suguha (that spells incest...), Asuda (Sinon if you don't like her actual name), and a others (if counting all the "side" characters, there would be a lot). They take an adventure (for Season 1 ONLY, kind of) into SAO, a VR game, kind of, and they are trapped there, and if one died, they died in real life, because the NerveGear (the headset used) sent microwaves to their brains, frying them. It's quite the plot.
People give the anime a lot of crap, being that its not "really" a video game and so on and so forth. But the anime is decent if someone has the interest, and not a lot of people do... either way, the anime still has some potential.

A program that lazy ass teenagers partake in typically so they don't have to wake up early. Usually only lasts for a few months before they fail the first semester and their parents make them go back to their old school.
Student 1: "Where's Jenny been?"
Student 2: "Ohh, she takes online high school now."
Student 1: "What a lazy bitch! She'll be back next semester!"
