(group of 10 people arriving at a popular beach in San Diego in the middle of summer...)
Jenni: "wait here guys, i will walk down and see what the sitch is" Jenni wants to assess the *situation*... For example, she will ascertain the following: Are there too many people here? Is there anywhere for us to all lie our blankets and set up beach volleyball? Too many annoying kids around? ... Then she can report back to her friends on whether or not it would be a waste of time to even walk down there.
