Asexuality doesn’t always mean you aren’t interested in anybody romantically it can be purely that your not interested in having sex with anyone at any time. You can be in a loving relationship with a significant other but still be asexual. Of course asexual can also apply to people who aren’t attracted to anyone at all. This of course does tysm mean you can’t love people platonically. And if your in the earlier stages of life don’t be too quick to proclaim yourself as asexual ‘cause puberty’s a bitch and with slap you in the face weather you suddenly become attracted to someone or not. So until your around 16-18 you won’t know if your truly asexual or not, because that’s when puberty ends.
And for those of you who are asexual it’s okay to not be attracted to anyone. And if anyone says you just want to get attention or your a bi wannabe, just remember you are just as valid as anyone in the lgbtq+ community you exist and it’s ok to feel the way you do.

Get the Asexual mug.An asexual is someone who does not experience sexual attraction. Many asexual people experience attraction, but we feel no need to act out that attraction sexually. Instead we feel a desire to get to know someone, to get close to them in whatever way works best for us. Sexual or nonsexual, all relationships are made up of the same basic stuff. Communication, closeness, fun, humor, excitement and trust all happen just as much in sexual relationships as in nonsexual ones. Unlike sexual people, asexual people are given few expectations about the way that our intimate relationships will work. Figuring out how to flirt, to be intimate, or to be monogamous in nonsexual relationships can be challenging, but free of sexual expectations we can form relationships in ways that are grounded in our individual needs and desires.
I used to have an enormous sexual desire, and fulfilled it well over 100 times. Then, cancer struck, and the treatments caused another disease called "encephalitis" which has a 50/50 chance of survival. Even upon survival, it causes damage to parts of the brain- in my case one of these was sexual desire. 'Mechanically' things still work, but the previous great desire was completely erased. I am still a caring person, but have become Asexual.

Get the Asexual mug.A lack of sexual attraction. How straight males feel about men for example. They do not. An asexual person can fully enjoy sex and desire sex with other individuals however they arnt not particularly aroused by peoples image. Can be aroused by peoples actions and have fetishes and kinks.
Bill has never found himself to be interested in other people based solely on looks. Its been confusing home for awhile now so I think I should introduce him to the concept of asexuality
