In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning...The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth (John 1:1,2, 14).

Get the Wordmug. A word is a complicated group of letters from the alphabet that is hard to explain. It consists of different vowels and consonants that when united can create a short or long word that can also be combined with other words to create a sentence. This is a sentence. "This is a sentence" is a sentence. A word has to be pronounced a certain way in order for people to understand you. There are also words in different languages. Languages is also a word. The explanation I just gave you is just a long ass sentence that can be used to understand its meaning. The truth is, I only wrote the definition of "word" because I couldn't type in the box to write what word I actually wanted to define.
Person: did you know that what I am about to tell you is a sentence that consists of words?
Person 2: I did not know that what you just told me was a sentence that consists of words. wow!

Get the Wordmug. “Word” is a casual response to acknowledge what someone is saying. It's another way to say, “Cool” or “Okay.” “Word” and “Word up” can be used to show agreement with the speaker, confirming that you approve of their statement.

Get the Wordmug. boy, in an argument with his father:
boy: dad, sorry, but I'll skip dinner tonight and (...)
father: (...) finish your chemistry and physics projects you are working on with your girlfriend Melissa?
boy: kodem koll, dad, stop putting words in the horse's mouth, something you've learnt to do so well lately. it's rude. And FYI it's actually Spanish and Latin homework I was going to work on anyways. I'll work on the chemistry and physics later.
