A reborn doll is a manufactured vinyl kit that was produced by a sculptor from clay that has been transformed by a reborn artist to resemble a human infant or child with as much realism as possible. The process of creating a reborn doll is referred to as reborning and the doll artists are referred to as Reborners. Reborn dolls are primarily purchased on the internet but are available at doll shows and fairs. Depending on craftsmanship, they range in price from hundreds to thousands of dollars.

People have tried to impersonate the Tails Doll with crappy animations, fake attack footage, fake sightings, fake photos, etc. His first (and last) appearences were in the game Sonic R. He was a really good character, because he could levitate really fast and float over water, thus allowing him to cheat through the course. He is, of course, fake, so there's nothing to be afraid of.
