The couple is then guilted into going in order to keep peace within the family. This results in conflict between the two families of the couple who each want to spend time with them for the holidays.
I wish I could go to my parents’ place for the holidays, but my mother in-law is a such a holiday whore and always wants us at her house for Christmas.

Holiday Ho’n’ is a flash of excitement especially when you travel back home for the holidays. Can get weird if you end up at a stranger’s family function. But mostly eat good, get drunk/high a lot, and only occasional sad cries alone because you can’t keep a functioning relationship with another human.
