These are the people that only go to church on holidays, i. e. "Christians" that only go to church on Christmas and Easter.

My mom is a holiday worshiper. She just got back from the Christmas service and is now looking forward to Easter.

This term is applied when a person in your company is sacked / made redundant with no explaination from management as to why or indeed if they have been let go. First came into existence circa July 2011 at a company based in central England.

Paul: I have a call for Joe but he isn't answering
Jim: I heard from management that he is on holiday
Paul: Ah, it must be a Collingwood Holiday after yesterdays run in with management and punch up!
Jim: Poor Joe...... if you hear from him, pass on my best and I hope he enjoys his 'holiday'.

holiday ho’n’

When you are single during the holidays (Thanksgiving through X-mas) and you go to bars immediately following family celebrations to hook up with other lonely holiday ho’s. Holiday Ho’n’ is a flash of excitement especially when you travel back home for the holidays. Can get weird if you end up at a stranger’s family function. But mostly eat good, get drunk/high a lot, and only occasional sad cries alone because you can’t keep a functioning relationship with another human.

Found out Cynthia was gang banging the East Side Motorcycle Club this past Halloween while I was pulling a double shift at the port-a-can cleaning and recycling factory, so I’ll definitely be Holiday Ho’n’ my ass off this year.
