When one is so excited about things that they become overwhelmed and are unable to do the very things they are excited about. Like when a puppy plays so much it exhausts itself to the brink of unconsciousness. This kind of overwhelm is often mistaken for anxiety, but it is in fact The Puppy Problem.

A word that I swear used to exist in and before the aughts, especially in academic literature, but there is no evidence online, aside from some academic articles. Another Berenstain/ Berenstain Bears phenomenon.
Notably, the date of the invention of the "word problematic" keeps changing. However, it was invented in the sixties. In the late 1800s, problematical was a more common pseudoword than problematic. Word usage history charts may change after posting this definition.
