A Barbeque where the hostess has so severly under-catered for the amount of people coming that there is never enough food provided; you end up being so hungry you have to get take-out on the way home.
At Nina's annual barbeque, Nina only supplied one sausage or hamburger per person, so it wasn't really a barbeque it was a starve-a-que.
