A store of bad quality trashy clothes that do not flatter anyone. Sure they look good on the manican, but in real life? they look awful. These clothes are awful quality. They rip easily and do not last long. Also, A&F is very expensive. Furthermore, the clothes ar very trashy and ugly. My advice is to go to jcrew or madewell. Slightly more expensive, these stores have better quality better looking clothes. They last much much longer and you look MUCH less trashy in the.
Girl: "I am going to the mall later!"
Girl #2: "are you going to abercrombie and fitch?"
girl 1: god no! I am going to jcrew!

i'm seeing a lot of people mentioning that the people who dispise the company Abercrombie and Fitch, are emos and goths who hate everyone they see who wears it. and yet the people who wear it get pissed off that everyone is stereotyping them as preps and prissy rich bitches, so why don't you stop bashing us because we choose to not wear abercrombie. maybe it's not because we can't afford it, or are too fat to fit into their clothing, maybe it's because they are racist, or "an all-american" store as they choose to call it, but just stop saying that we descriminate those who wear abercrombie and fitch even though we don't know them, because just by doing that you are being a hypocrite. i choose not to wear abercrombie and fitch, yes, but that's only because i don't like the company and the way they choose to advertise their products, but that doesn't mean i hate the people who do choose to wear it. if they want to, they can, it's not anything to me.
friend: hey do you want to go to A&F with me, there's a sale i don't want to miss, oh i forgot you don't like Abercrombie, it's okay i won't wear it.
non-A&F friend: oh it's okay, i don't expect everyone to feel the same way i do about Abercrombie and Fitch.

A trendy clothing store that models a casual, classic, cool lifestyle and nice looking clothes. They specialize in vintage and worn clothing. They typically play loud, stylish music and have very nice store setups. All the people that slam A&f just wish that they bought their clothes there. They are also the owner of Hollister Co., a company marketed to high school age students that projects a California beach lifestyle. A great store!

An overpriced, overrated, undersized clothing store that clearly doesn't realize that the purpose of catalog models is to model the clothing being retailed, not to exploit and degrade men and women to merely sexual objects by means of covertly distributed porn in the pages of A&F catalogs .....or the models don't wear any clothing in the shoots because they realize they could either never afford or fit into that being advertised.
adolescent boy1: Let's go sneak some of my brother's porn.
adolescent boy2: No need, my sister's A&F catalog just came in the mail.
guy: Didn't that chick who was in playboy once model for A&F?
girl: Yeah, but she didn't have enough money to buy food because she had to buy their clothes....And when she could eat, she wasn't able to fit into the size -2 clothes.
guy: That's cool. She's a lot hotter now that she doesn't look like a popsicle stick.

A modern clothing company with tremendous marketing skills. Exploitative or not, they are successful and thus meet the bottom line of any modern retailer.
One percieves a certain lifestyle surrounding A&F, thus they successfully attract new buyers every day.

A store which over-prices their actual cheap-quality clothes. Nothing there is made in America, it's made in sweatshops overseas while the owners are gaining unimaginable profits from their demeaning t-shirts, etc.
Not fashionable in any means, as hard as it is to realize.
Made from cheap textiles, etc.

LIM Student: God, if I had a dollar for everytime I saw somebody wear jeans from Abercrombie and Fitch I'd be rich and buy some more jeans that are made in America.
LIM student 2: Yeah, I'd get some shirts that are made from natural fiber.

A clothing store geared towards the "All American Lifetyle" though it is made in sweat shops in Malaysia where little kids are paid 10 cents an hour and are overworked. Usually preps shop there. Abercrombie is publicly critisized for advertising soft porn in teenagers, and the infamous "eye candy thong" sold in the kids Abercrombie.
