Not A Girlfriend

Usually referred to as a NAG.
Pronounced: nag
Def: the title you give the female you are in a relationship with after the dating stage, but prior to giving her the actual name of “girlfriend.” Usually this person will attend events, go to family functions and act in a girlfriendly manner but not have the title.

This word can also be used on the opposite sex as a not a boyfriend.

Eric: have you seen how much JP and Kristina are hanging out? I think he really likes her!
Kelley: No way, she wont make it out of the NAG (not a girlfriend) stage for awhile.
Eric: yeah all the benefits, but you can still be single.
Kelley: Yeah, that’s the life.

Needy Girlfriend Syndrome

Being needy with someone you are not romantically involved with. Using phrases such as 'why haven't you called back', 'I left a message, did you get it', and the ever so famous 'Did I do something wrong' when the person is just flat out too busy to get back to you.

I sent you an email yesterday and called today, did you not get them? I need to talk to you, are you busy? Are you mad at me? I am starting to develop Needy Girlfriend Syndrome over here!

Girls or women who may cause complications with your present or future relationship. They are not ready for their ex to move on, and will do practically anything to get them back. Not all ex girlfriends are like this though.

My boyfriend's ex girlfriend won't leave him alone and is making it hard for him to move on already.
