Karenism can be directly tied to many traits common in people labelled as "Karen" or "Chad," those traits being racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, zealotism, belief that they are more superior than someone, a concerning amount of entitlement, and consistently demanding to speak to the manager if something doesn't go their way. Other traits include believing in conspiracy theories, lying to authorities, putting their religion first instead of the lives around them, and generally, anything anyone can think of that would describe a Karen perfectly.
Although the term "Karen" describes the behaviour of a single entitled man or woman demonstrating what Karens usually do, a "Karenist" is someone supporting the ideology of Karenism, rather than being the very definition of a Karen.
