Stands for "sorry I disconnected," a meme phrase in the Balatro Multiplayer community. It comes from the player Namgodd/kingofnothing, who would commonly take very risky plays, and if they did not pay out, would leave the game and say "sr i dc," blaming leaving on being a poor connection to the internet.

Works as both a phrase and as a verb.

As a noun:
Some Balatro MP player: Why did you leave the game?
Namgodd: sr i dc :(

As a verb:
OwenEpsilon: Guhh I am losing this game, what must I do
The holy Twitch Chat: Just sr i dc are you stupid?

alternating current/direct current. direct current was the first system to be used, but then it was found that alternating current would work better over long distances. not to be confused with the Australian band AC/DC, this is a cool fact to tell people when the topic comes up.
