folder talk

"Folder talk" is a term for when someone is telling a you story and they change the subject in the middle of it,

creating a "folder inside of a folder". (A "folder" means a story/subject).

I am credited with introducing the term "Folder talk".
The idea for the name for the term sources from me being unable to finish a story without going into very unimportant details about a completely different story for the reason of me having a fear of being misunderstood which results in always creating a folder inside of a folder inside of another folder.

Folder talking might be irritating at times, but it's important to remember that a person who folder talks can't help it.
It's necessary that you sit through the whole story, act like you are invested, interested and fully understand it.

Me: "I once overheard a conversation of two people sitting next to me on the bus, they were talking about-

Oh, that just reminded me, have I ever told you about that one time that I-"

Y/N: "YO, STOP FOLDER TALKING!"

Me: "Oh, sorry!"

When a tripfag has their photos saved to a folder dedicated to that tripfag by an obsessive data hoarder on websites like 4chan. This could be done to hold it over the tripfag's head later on, to jerk off to and repost later, or just to satisfy a compulsion to save everything about the non-anons they interact with.

That's the anon that posted it, unless he got foldered.

Folderphile

When a person is attracted to folders. They fantasize about folders all day and they go to “pound town” with their folders. Usually you will see a big gaping hole in the folder with white liquid dripping out. People who are folderphiles usually try to hide the fact that they are fucked up in the head.

Freakbob is a Folderphile. He was in the bathroom and snorting coke and banging his folder. There was a big gaping hole in the crease of the folder.

Fodoer

Created from the root “do”, it describes someone who is a follower or copycat. The “fo-“ means “secondary” and the “-er” means “someone who…”, so fodoer means “someone who does something after another”.
