A motorcyclist farewell phrase equivalent to "goodbye and ride safely".  Usually associated with sportbike riders.  Irony of phrase meant express degree of rider's enthusiasm about and/or dedication to riding.
John: It's raining hard, I can't believe you rode here.
Rider: Yeah, I'm gonna roll. Peace.
John: Alright man, ride or die.
Rider: Yeah, I'm gonna roll. Peace.

Get the ride or diemug. Trap or die relates to the term "eat what you kill."  Many jobs in the world are commission based.  At commission only jobs you "eat what you kill" meaning you only make money on the business you bring to the company and if you don't bring any business in, you don't eat.  Hence the phrase "trap or die."  It describes what you have to do to survive.  In order to eat what you kill, you must trap or die...
