Record

Something you won't take with you, even if you break one. They're kind of like money in that sense.
Whether it's a vinyl record or a sports/entertainment record, no matter how many you break, you won't take them with you when you're not around any more. Some people like to break records, others disagree that all records are made to be broken, and they try to take care of the records they have while they are still here.

It's like a frisbee; but on a turntable, it plays music by passing a needle over grooves. The grooves are actually an image of soundwaves, and the needle moves a magnet inside a coil of wire, which creates a moving electric current. The electric current is shifted to kinetic movement by a speaker, which vibrates and produces the music. Lonely middle-aged men like to listen to vinyls the most, because even millennials are cooler than that, guys.
"Steve, did you hear that Pink Floyd record I was playing?"
"Yeah, nice vinyl."

I press record

When it's late at night
And you're fast asleep
I let my fingers do the walking
I press record
I become a fiend
And no one else is watching
I let my fingers do the walking
I press record

In Pinks Son Fingers!
