tap out

when you are with your friends smoking marijuana and a blunt, joint, bong, hookah, bowl, etc is being passed around and you can't take any more; whether it be because you don't want to get higher or if your throat and lungs burn so much that you can't help but cough.
On Saturday three of my friends and I smoked a 9 inch blunt and all of us were able to finish together, or at least from what I remember. Then at night some of us smoked a normal blunt. After about 7 or 8 hits i had to tap out because my lungs and throat could not hndle more smoke.
