It is believed that these so-called FOU's act in this mannerism due to a futile attempt to feed the delusion of grandeur that they provide some value to the prowess of their favorite school's athletic success.
In addition to being insufferable on the internet, FOU's are often observed to tattoo their favorite team's logo on their biceps and calves. FOU's are predominantly found in the 300 level of sporting events and at local fast food chains within close proximity to college campuses. If at any point you find yourself trapped in a conversation with a FOU, shout your college's fight song and slowly head for the nearest exit.
