A derogatory word for a person, typically a female, who engages in a copious amount of sex acts with multiple partners. The term became derogatory due to the significant risks involved with sexual promiscuity, especially concerning women, such as unwanted or teen pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases, infidelity, and vaginosis as well as social dysfunctions associated with sexually aberrant behavior such as depression, drug use and perversions.
