A character only used to make AUs of said character. Usually, the aus are made by fans who don’t want to make a completely original character but who still want to make a character.
Person A: “this is Swap!OC, an au of OC”
Person B: “I’ve seen like 5 aus of OC, at this point they’re a blank slate character.”

What does it mean to be in the presence of a person who has a “Blank Bird” mentality?
This individual is ignorant to the true human experience of being compassionate to his fellow female or male friend, family, or business colleagues.
He or she is lacking knowledge or awareness in general of how to genuinely be a helpmate to people. They tend to have the attributes of a carless, narcistic minded person who solely will focus on pulling the best from others for their own personal gain. They appear to be reasonably sane yet, deflect a bi-polar attitude towards people under the guise of being an allie.
Simply put, this male or female is senseless, odd, defiant, and self-centered to the point that when you communicate with them, they have the appearance of being present yet lack understanding. They are heartless, indifferent. Detached and distant
One can engage and interact with this person to merely find that they are indeed unresponsive and lack the true sensibility of being mindful of how they engage with people. These types of people who assimilate in our society in this new millennial era are unwarranted, reckless, and dangerous.

People who are blank, there's nothing coming in and nothing going out. This is the blank generation, look around you ladies and gentleman, and other, here we are. No commitment, no involvement, that's where it's at.

The term was coined by Richard Hell in his song by the same name.

Radio: "It's fascinatin' to observe what the mirror does, but when I dine it's for the wall that I set a place, I belong to the blank generation but I can take it or leave it each time..."
Person: "Man, Richard Hell was wrong, they weren't the blank generation, they still had creativity, originality, and all that- us? nah, we're doomed, WE'RE the blank generation"
