Minehut

Started as a towny server by Luke Chatton in 2014, then was converted into a free server host in 2015. In 2018 the corporate conglomerate Super League Gaming bought Minehut and for the next 6 years all but drove it into the ground in their failed attempts to make a quick buck like it has been with their other puppet companies like Beam and Metaburst. First they converted the rank system into a monthly subscription model, then the server time limits and file download limits, and not listening to the COMMUNITY. Fortunately, on February 27, 2024, Minehut was sold again to GamerSafer, a company that "provides world-leading identity verification technology" for better safety in the online gaming world. The team at GamerSafer are actual humans and interact with the community on a daily basis.

minesweeper

a game first introduced on windows 3.1 as a replacement for the game "Reversi" in 1992 where a player clicks a square that either has a mine or has nothing under it. the square, if it has no mine might have a number anywhere from 0 to 8
(0 being an empty square) representing how many mines are near that square. if you click a mine the game ends. if you know where a mine is you can flag that tile to make sure you dont click that mine, if you successfully flag all mines the game ends and you win.
